芙莱维尔John Flavel, 1628-1691) -- 英国清教徒，出生在伍斯特郡布罗姆斯格罗夫，一直在家中和牛津大学受教育。曾经加入长老会，后成为公理会成员。1662年开始他需要冒很大的风险
秘密传道，这种光景一直到1687年Declaration of Indulgence宣言后才有改善，他成为公开的教会牧师。他死于1691年6月26日在德文郡埃克塞特, 是一位多产的和受欢迎的作家。经典之作有《神护理的奥秘》The Mystery of Providence (1678), Husbandry Spiritualised (1669) and Navigation Spiritualised (1671), The Seaman's Companion (1676)。
